I was tasked with designing a line of items for Blue Note Record’s baseball collection. The goal was to create jazz interpretations of vintage sportswear that brought together America’s original art form and the great American pastime.

On opening day 2024, Blue Note launched with a jersey, bench jacket, wool hat, and pennant.

I created a custom JAZZ wordmark for the collection that felt as if it had existed for ages, along with a new Blue Note baseball lockup inside the shape of a baseball diamond.

Wherever possible, I wanted the piping to be 5 separate lines to echo the 5 staff lines of sheet music.
